$125,000 given to Local LGBTQ+ Charities
Purple Foundation, Inc., an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, posted its largest-ever annual donation in 2018, giving $125,000 to local charities that help those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. Purple’s beneficiaries include AIDS Services of Dallas, Legacy Counseling Center and Resource Center Dallas.
Purple Foundation President Sara Fangmeyer said, “We are so proud to support these wonderful charities that take care of those in our community who need it most. Each year we’ve been able to consistently increase our donations, which now totals $985,000 since our inception in 2001.”
Purple Foundation produces various dance event fundraisers throughout the year, including Purple Does Dallas Pride and their annual signature event: Purple Party Weekend. Purple also recognized their official liquor sponsor Smirnoff; their production, photography and their promotional partners for being integral to their success in 2018.
