Welcome back! Your Purple home away from home is the Dallas Marriott Suites Market Center. The information below covers most hotel-related issues or questions you might have whether you are staying with us or just visiting for an event (or some other reason 😉).

  • —Check in time officially begins at 4pm. If you arrive before 4pm and the hotel does not have your room ready, the hotel can hold your bags.

—No one will be able to charge items to their rooms. They must pay with cash or credit card at time of purchase.

—The hotel will automatically place a $50 hold per night on your credit card (presented at the time of check-in) for incidentals. If you use a debit card it will appear as a charge but it will be released within 5–10 business days after the organization’s account has been closed.

—Please add the names of people sharing a room with you to your reservation for security and safety purposes.

—Room keys will only be given to the person(s) listed on the reservation.

—No smoking inside the hotel at all. Violators will be charged a non-refundable fee of $250.

—No pets allowed on premises. Service animals ok.

—If you are parking a vehicle, be sure to register the license plate immediately at check in to avoid receiving a non-refundable fine of $80 by the parking company. No exceptions! Instructions are located in the parking lot, hotel lobby, and at the front desk.

—Please plan to pick up your weekend pass wristbands at the welcome center on Thursday or Friday 12–8pm. Waiting to pick up wristbands at the door to the events will when mean longer wait times.

—When picking up your wristbands, please have the associated ShowClix QR code ready to scan and your state-issued photo ID. Please see the section in this guide about approved forms of identification.

—Check out time is 12pm on the day of your departure.

  • Parking is included complimentary for all registered hotel guests. Please be sure to register your vehicle's license plate at check-in. Hotel guests (meaning your name is on the reservation) should follow the instructions for OVERNIGHT GUESTS by scanning the appropriate QR code on the signs posted in the parking lot, hotel lobby, and front desk.

Please follow instructions and seek help if in doubt because you will be charged a $80 parking fine, and Purple has no ability to have it dismissed.

  • The hotel utilizes a mobile-device payment system for parking, which allows parkers the convenience of paying for their parking on their phone. In order for you to receive the agreed upon discounted rate of $5, it is important that you follow the instructions below when you arrive at the property. Instructions are also posted on signs throughout the parking lot. Parking patrons should follow the instructions for DAILY VISITORS by scanning this QR code or Texting D4 to 214-624-6722.

You will receive a link to enter your name and license plate and then be able to pay your parking fees. On the payment screen there is a space to enter a validation code. The validation code is: D758CA31

Follow instructions, and be sure that your departure date is 3 days out from arrival date and your departure time is at least 3pm. This will give you free in-and-out privileges while coming and going over the weekend!!! Please follow instructions and ask for help if you need it because violators will be charged a $80 parking fine. Enter validation code and press apply. It should show a “$5” dollar amount. Click pay now, and it will send you a receipt via email or text.

  • Restaurant times have been adjusted to follow our event schedule to make sure that everyone stays well nourished and hydrated over the weekend. The restaurant will begin serving breakfast starting at 4am, which is when the main nightly parties end and the afterhours at the hotel begins, and will run until shortly after the conclusion of the afterhours so we encourage attendees to eat after the afterhours is done.

Evenings between 6pm and 10pm (the only nightly downtime from events) the hotel restaurant will have extra staff on hand to expedite the dining process, and the hotel’s 24-hour convenience store will be fully stocked with a variety of grab-and-go meal options and snacks including salads, sandwiches, and other great items perfect for a long night of dancing.

During the pool parties, the restaurant will be open and there will be additional food service prepared outside complete with grill cooked hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, grilled chicken salad, chicken caesar wrap, and more.

The hotel has begun limited room service (“knock and drop”) and those details will be available upon check in.

At any time of day or night, there will be good food options for you. So please, eat.

Shuttle Service

To purchase your shuttle pass, visit our ticketing page, click PPW24 Weekend Passes, and select the available shuttle pass tier. If you are a VIP pass holder (VIP Everything or VIP Primetime), it’s included in your pass.

  • We have contracted several luxury mini-bus coaches to use throughout the weekend. They hold approximately 30-35 people and will play appropriate music for the duration. New for PPW24, we will have timed departures. Schedule available soon. Also for PPW24 we are debuting two shuttle types the regular, full shuttle service will mostly function like before but with timed departures leaving from the main host hotel. We are adding the Hotel Loop service that will run only to the host hotels therefore making a loop, and it will run for all events, including events taking place at the main host hotel. Guests staying at our overflow hotels will catch a Hotel Loop shuttle to the main host hotel and then catch a regular shuttle to the events, and then the reverse the end of the event. We will publish schedule and additional details soon.

  • Shuttle service is considered a multi-event pass and you must purchase yours on our ticketing page, under “Weekend Passes”, while supplies last. Our shuttle pass prices are substantially less expensive than Uber/Lyft and you are guaranteed a ride from the night time parties for the duration of the event. If you are an “Everything VIP” or “Primetime VIP” pass holder you also get unlimited use of our shuttles. We do not sell single trip or individual event tickets for the shuttle.

You will receive a shuttle pass wristband at will-call unless you are a VIP ticket holder.

  • ✅ Yes. The shuttles will service the main host hotel (Marriott Suites) and all official overflow hotels (Aloft Mockingbird, Embassy Suites).

For PPW24 we are debuting two shuttle types the regular, full shuttle service will mostly function like before but with timed departures leaving from the main host hotel. If the event is located at the main host hotel, then obviously you will only need to take one bus there and one bus back to the overflow hotel at the end of the event. We will publish schedule and additional details soon.

  • ❌ No, and please don’t try. We have based the number and frequency of the shuttles with specific pass figures and even one extra person can push another rider that did pay for access to a later bus and that isn’t fair to them.

👩‍🎤Pro Tip: make them pay for the Uber, you are worth it!

Code of Conduct

While we want you to live your best life, we also want to keep Purple around for years to come and it’s getting more and more difficult with each year. Attendee behavior is the one thing that can limit our growth or even prevent us from doing events at all. The future of Purple is literally in your hands. We were lucky enough to be invited back to one of our premier new venues we debuted last year and we would like the ability to return year after year. After twenty years of hard work, Purple has evolved into a world-class event hosted in the best venues Dallas has to offer. However, access to these exciting and prestigious venues is a privilege, and we take that privilege seriously. We hope you do too. We are not trying to limit your fun, inhibit your inhibitions, or rain on your (gay) parade—there is a time and place for practically everything—but we have to eliminate the most severe occurrences for which the Foundation is ultimately responsible for and for which we can be held liable. Although the Dallas-area is largely liberal and accepting, we live and operate our non-profit organization in a state where LGBTQIA+ rights are in a state of regression. Below are some reasonable (and pretty simple) guidelines we are asking our attendees to follow. Please understand these are the same polices we’ve always had. Nothing has changed, and they are the same policies most dance festivals (gay or straight) in the U.S. have and enforce (because it’s state law, y’all). The vast majority of you already adhere to this without you ever even realizing it—that’s how painless they are. With that said, please keep in mind the following:

  • ZERO TOLERANCE for possession or obvious use of illegal substances. You will be removed from the venue immediately, and your wristband cut off and deactivated.

  • ZERO TOLERANCE for explicit or overtly sexual behavior in plain sight. You will be removed from the venue immediately, and your wristband cut off and deactivated.

  • We know you want to show off those incredible bodies, but leave a little bit of mystery and please refrain from anything more revealing than a thong.

  • There is no clothes check at any of our events. Please don’t ask if we can hold your clothes.

  • No re-entry for general admission (only VIP has re-entry at most events).

  • Be patient, understanding, and respectful of our staff, production crews, and especially our volunteers.

  • Purple Foundation reserves the right to remove anyone from the premises, for any reason, without a refund.

  • Purple Foundation is a nonprofit organization and our primary goal is to raise money for our beneficiaries and make a difference in our community. Please help us achieve that goal. Please help us have a smooth, fun, and incident-free weekend this year and every year. Together, we can do it.

📌 Discretion, self awareness, and awareness of your surroundings make for a successful Purple!

SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY:

We want everyone to be able to capture and share those moments of joy while creating happy memories throughout this fun-filled weekend. We ask that everyone do so in a manner that is respectful and responsible. We want you to be aware and considerate of everyone's right to privacy. We request that attendees not post ANYTHING of a sexually explicit or illegal nature from our event(s) that could identify Purple, its board members, staff/volunteers, vendors, venues, and/or associates to any online public/private or social media space. Doing so puts our venues and our organization in very difficult position. Violation of this policy will result in the removal from and forfeiture of all Purple events for the rest of the weekend and the pursuit of any other remedies necessary. Please understand, the negative implications of doing such an act, could affect our organization's ability to continue to produce events, obtain sponsorships, and raise funding for our beneficiaries. So, please be mindful of your posts and the effect(s) they can have on others. Thank you in advance for understanding, keeping us all safe, and helping us be memorable for all the right reasons.

Security and First Aid

The safety and well being of our attendees is of the utmost of importance to us. Because we live in a dangerous and unpredictable world, we have taken additional steps and precautions to ensure everyone feels safe and is able to enjoy the events. We requested each of our venues to review their security protocols for general attendee safety and ensure proper assistance is on hand in case of emergencies. You may notice a greater presence of uniformed security and/or uniformed police officers, that is intentional and are hired by us to ensure our safety.

  • Pegasus is Purple Foundation’s harm reduction and guest experience team. Our Pegasus team members are committed to ensuring the safety of everyone one of our guests, as well as providing compassionate care, information, rideshare assistance, and reminding our community that it's okay to ask for help.

Harm reduction is a practice rooted in compassionate, nonjudgmental care, aimed at lessening the negative and/or dangerous aspects of nightlife, and protecting a safe space for people to dance, have fun, and express themselves. Our Pegasus harm reduction team members ARE NOT security! We understand that sometimes the night can get the better of us, and are here to make sure that everyone has fun and gets home safely.

You can find Pegasus team members roaming each of our parties in their signature purple shirts emblazoned with wings across the back, checking on everyone and helping those in need. If you ever need help, a friend, or simply someone to talk to, do not hesitate to ask them. They are your friends and they are here for you!

  • All attendees will be searched before allowed entry into each venue using a TSA-level search and light pat down. Some venues will be using metal detectors. All bags and purses will be opened and inspected. Front entry staff reserves the right to deny entry to anyone, for any reason, without a refund. Please review our item policy for specific details on what items are or are not allowed.

  • There will be first aid at all events (except ROAR) and properly designated. We recommend locating the medical area of each event upon entry in case you or a friend should need assistance.
